As I wrap up the 5 × 4 ft. series of Paintings I wanted to rehash some old techniques. On this piece I use thick applications of paint straight from the tube, like icing on a cake! As well as embracing the past, I welcomed the future, the infrastructure of this painting was done in oil pastel (something I never use). And the result is a tangy mess of artificial/ deeply saturated oranges and blues.
